Fiber Arts Demonstration: Counted Cross-Stitch In-Person
Join librarian and cross-stitcher, Miriam Meier, for a fiber arts cross-stitch demonstration. Please drop by for a pop-up demonstration from noon to 2:00 p.m of cross-stitching and talk to the artist about her work. Miriam can discuss the creation of a cross-stich piece, from reading a pattern, choosing materials, preparing the fabric, using a hoop or frame, doing basic (and not-so-basic) stitches, and finishing the piece for display. You are welcome to try basic cross-stitching on a sample piece. No registration required.
Miriam Meier is a lifelong fiber arts enthusiast who works with a variety of textile arts including knitting, crochet, cross-stitch, embroidery and more.
