Nora Lawrence, chief curator and artistic director of Storm King Art Center, presents on the work of Wangechi Mutu. Sculptor, film maker, and performance artist Mutu, a native of Kenya, expresses her concern for human rights and the planet’s ecosystems through her earth-based works. Storm King Art Center is a 500 acre outdoor art park in New Windsor, NY, famous for its presenting work by newer artists like Ms. Mutu and Sarah Sze, as well as for holdings by such icons as Louise Bourgeois and Henry Moore. Nora Lawrence, appointed as chief curator of Storm King in November of 2021, is the first to hold the title of artistic director.
