Poetry Cafe In-Person
Join this librarian-led poetry discussion. This month we'll read and discuss poems from Maggie Smith's fourth collection Goldenrod. Smith's poems are both celebratory and sad; her concerns are the everyday and the devastaing: the wildflowers in her backyard, the end of a marriage, her daughter's insightful questions, an enraging TV news story. Her 2016 poem Good Bones is reputed to have had a million hits on social media. Please register online.
