Poetry Café In-Person
Join this librarian-led poetry discussion. This month we will read but a sampling of poems from Kevin Young's widely acclaimed new anthology, African American Poetry: 250 Years of Struggle and Song. From the New York Times Book Review 'New and Notable' section:
This vast anthology gathers voices both canonical and overlooked to build an implicit but unassailable case that Black poetry is central to American literature.
Registrants will be sent an electronic handout of poems for this online meeting.
