March Book One, by Rep. John Lewis - Graphic Novel Discussion - A SaratogaREADS! Inspired Event In-Person

To celebrate the birthday (2/21) and life of civil rights leader, Rep. John Lewis, who passed away in 2020, we'll read and discuss part one of his graphic novel memoir, "March." Told in strikingly vivid illustrations and Lewis' own words, "March" encompasses the events growing up in Alabama through his involvement in a burgeoning Civil Rights Movement. If you enjoy this, go ahead and read "March" parts 2 and 3, and look forward to reading the forthcoming installment, "Run."
