Baby Music is a musical play program for ages 0-18 months with a caregiver, incorporating lap bounces, shakers, scarves and more. Sessions include 20 minutes of guided activities led by a librarian and 10 minutes of free play.

Registration is not required, but space is limited based on room capacity.

What to Expect

  • 20 minutes of guided activities, then 10 minutes of open playtime.
  • Activities may include lap bounces, using shakers or scarves, movement songs etc.
  • At least one caregiver will sit with their child/children and actively participate.
  • For best results sit on carpet squares on the floor; there will be limited chairs available at the back or sides of the room.

  • Door is closed once program begins, but it is not locked so late arrivals may join quietly.

Sensory Information

  • Room may be moderately busy.
  • Bright overhead lights.

  • Playtime can get noisy due to rattles, drums and other toys.

  • Music will be playing over a speaker for the later half of the program.

Supports

  • Attendees may leave early or take a short break as needed.
