For this online meeting of Poetry Café discussion group, we will meet up with wise and wily deities, sea monsters and sirens, a complicated father-son relationship, a queen who fends off loathsome suitors, and a ship that travels where no one has gone before. We'll read and discuss passages from Homer's The Odyssey. Here is an epic poem that has everything: love, betrayal, revenge, redemption...and witchcraft! Read the book (or parts of it) before you see the movie!
