To Kill a Mockingbird, by Harper Lee, published in 1960, is a classic American novel. It tells a story of racism and injustice in the American Southern states in the 1950s, through the eyes of a young girl who watches her lawyer father fight for justice. It also speaks to the power of courage and kindness, and rekindles for the reader the magic of childhood.
Registered participants are encouraged to attend most meetings. Free copies of the book To Kill a Mockingbird will be given to attendees at the first meeting.
