Toddler Story Time is an early literacy program for children ages 18-36 months with a caregiver. It includes highly interactive books, songs and activities to foster emerging language skills.

Registration is not required, but space is limited based on room capacity.

What to Expect

  • Approximately 30 minutes of a librarian reading books aloud and leading attendees in songs or simple group activities.

  • At least one caregiver will sit with their child/children and encourage them to participate.

  • Sit on carpet squares on the floor, or in chairs at the back or side of the group.

  • Siblings are welcome, but content will be geared towards ages 18-36 months.

  • Door is closed once program begins, but it is not locked so late arrivals may join quietly.

Sensory Information

  • Room may be moderately busy.

  • Bright overhead lights.

Supports

  • Feel free to leave early or take a short break as needed.

  • There is space in the back of the room for attendees to move around if sitting still/being in front is difficult.
