Do you know a child who loves poetry and has memorized a favorite poem? We invite them to recite a poem for us at the Children's Room Desk any day during April, which is National Poetry Month. Participants will receive a Stewart's ice cream coupon and are limited to one ice cream coupon for the month. No registration required.
What to Expect
- Visit the Children's Desk to recite a poem.
- Your child may recite any poem, for example, a haiku, nursery rhyme or even an original poem. If it's easier for your child to sing a nursery rhyme, please do so.
- Ask a librarian to show you the Children's poetry section if you need a poem.
