Teens in grades 7-12 are invited to our annual Library Lock-In, hosted by the Teen Advisory Board! Join us for an after-hours evening filled with food, games, and activities. Registration is required - please sign up online.

The Saratoga Springs Public Library will close to the public at 5 p.m.; only registered participants will be permitted in the building after closing.

A completed permission slip is required to attend. Parents/guardians must fill out the attached form and return it to the Children’s Floor prior to the event. Teens without a signed permission slip will not be allowed to participate.

All attendees must have a ride home arranged for 10:30 p.m.

Contact Teen Librarian, AnnaRae, if you have any questions.

What to Expect

  • Participants are encouraged to wear pajamas and bring cozy items, such as blankets or pillows, to sit with.

  • Participants will be provided with snacks and drinks throughout the event with allergen information available.

  • Multiple librarians will be present to supervise all teen participants and will be near the Children’s Room phone is case of emergency.

  • The night will be divided into group games, crafting, and snacking. Each individual activity is optional, and teens may choose to sit out if they prefer.

  • The crafting portion takes place at lower-height seating. No specific seating for eating is required.
