Adults of all abilities are welcome in the Teen Room only during this specially scheduled time. Try our craft stations that rotate weekly (coloring, painting, scratch art, ect.), and enjoy board games while socializing with other adults. There are also comfy spaces to sit and relax. No minors will be in the space during these adult-only hours. No registration required.
What to Expect:
- A tall table that offers at least four craft stations. All craft offerings are available on a first come, first serve basis.
- Crafts are completed at your own pace, and the librarian is available for any questions.
- Board games are available for those who don't want to craft.
- Computers in the Teen Room are available for participant use.
Sensory Information:
- Some crafts include fuzzy coloring pages, paints, and glitter.
- A sink is available for those who want wash their hands in the room.
- The room may be noisy at times depending on the number of participants.
- There are high chairs and soft seating throughout the room.
- Lighting is standard indoor lighting.
Sensory Supports:
- Fidget tools or quiet sensory items are welcome, and the Teen Room does have a sensory cart filled with fidget tools.
- You are welcome to take breaks or step out if you need to.
- Staff are happy to help with seating preferences when possible.
