Poetry Café: Latino Poetry - A New Anthology Online
For September's Poetry Café, we will read and discuss one poem from each of the 6 sections of Rigoberto Gonzalez' recent anthology, Latino Poetry. Spanning four decades, this collection casts a wide net in gathering poems representative of Latinx writers. Featured on this anniversary of 9/11 will be Martin Espada's poem Alabanza: In Praise of Local 100, which memorializes Latinx restaurant employees who lost their lives in that tragedy.
