Poetry Café Dead Poets Series: César Vallejo

Poetry Café Dead Poets Series: César Vallejo Online

Join with others in this online librarian-led poetry discussion as we become familiar with some of César Vallejo's poems. This Peruvian poet was a contemporary of Pablo Neruda. The youngest child in a large, indigenous family, he was raised as a strict Catholic and largely self-educated.  Vallejo eventually moved to Europe, where he was influenced by other bohemian cafe-dwellers.  The contradictions of his life seem to have fueled his evocative, soulful work.

Handouts of poems will be available in advance at the Information Desk and by digital attachment. Please register online.
