Leaf Scavenger Hunt and Indigenous Peoples' Day Talking Stick Craft

Leaf Scavenger Hunt and Indigenous Peoples' Day Talking Stick Craft In-Person

Celebrate Indigenous Peoples' Day and explore Congress Park, site of the Saratoga Native American encampment over 100 years ago. Meet at the Dutcher Community Room where Environmental Educators from Wilton Wildlife Preserve & Park will lead us on a leaf scavenger hunt. Afterwards, return to the library to use some of the natural materials we have collected to craft a Talking Stick. Finish with a sharing circle discussion using our Talking Sticks.

For grades K-5 with an accompanying adult. Register each child who will be attending. Adults and younger children need not register. Registration opens three weeks before either online, in the Children's Room, or by calling 518-584-7860, ext. 305.
