People around the globe will soon take in a total eclipse expected on April 8. But what causes this out-of-this world phenomenon? Join University at Albany Associate Physics Professor Matthew Szydagis as he explains what causes this celestial event that captivates so many. Those registered for the program can get a free pair of eclipse glasses. Please register online.

Matthew Szydagis, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor of Physics at the University at Albany whose research includes experimental astroparticle physics, with a focus on the direct detection of dark matter WIMPs (Weakly Interacting Massive Particles).
