Joe Green is a retired Maple Avenue Middle School, School Psychologist. His drumming experiences began in high school and carried through his years in the U.S. Air Force in England, his clinical, doctoral program in Florida and in his role as a School Psychologist in Saratoga. As part of his doctoral program, Joe spent a year working with a Music Therapist at Miami Children’s Hospital. It was there that he came to realize and appreciate the value of blending music (specifically percussion) with other, more traditional treatment modalities. Joe's unique background enabled him to integrate the therapeutic use of drumming by overseeing student drum clubs and workshops at Maple Avenue Middle School, during his twenty-three-year tenure.
